Light and shadow of the lighthouse

On the outskirts of a quiet seaside town there is an old lighthouse, showing the way to lost ships. Its keeper, Alexander Nikiforovich Tikhonov, only seems to be a simple, unremarkable layman, in fact, he is the leader of a gang of smugglers. His daughter Tatyana, a 20-year-old university student, a sweet and kind girl, is completely unaware of her father’s dark affairs. She knows only his “light” side, regrets because of the sudden death of her mother, tries to surround father with care and attention. At one time, one of the police officers, Major Konstantin Kravchenko, got on the track of Tikhonov’s gang. Tikhonov and Kravchenko came to an arrangementm and since then, the self-interested, tough-minded major has covered up the activities of criminals, receiving his share of the profits.

In addition, Kravchenko, accustomed to achieve everything he wants, chose Tatyana to be his bride for her meek disposition and kind heart. He courted the girl for a long time and even made her an offer, being fully confident that the issue with their marriage had been resolved. Everything changes when the younger brother of Konstantin, Oleg Ignatiev, who also works in the police, comes to Primorsk. On the beach, Oleg accidentally meets Tatyana. The girl falls in love with him.

There are a lot of ill-wishers on the way of Oleg and Tatyana love: an envious friend Galina, jealous Konstantin, various bandits competing with Tikhonov and wanting to harm him…
