Troshin’s arrest dramatically changes not only his fate, but also the lives of all the main characters of the story. Troshin has to pay up for his release with his relationships. Their love with Nina is subjected to serious tests. However despite personal problems, Troshin takes his post again. He is still a district police officer in Maryina Roshcha, the situation in which is gradually heating up.
The euphoria of May 1945 passes, harsh everyday life begins – the intensification of the fight against crime, the toughening of punishments. However the criminal world does not intend to give up. The criminal elite, in turn, is attacking the law and order. In a dishonest game, all means are good – from killing police officers to bribery and blackmail.
