Without you
The life of little Katia, the daughter of investigator Nikolai Zharinov, changes dramatically when her parents along with her younger sister Alisa die, as a result of criminal showdowns. Fearing that the criminal authority Zubov will perceive the surviving Katia as an unnecessary witness, the girl is taken by her godfather, a professional burglar, “Lock-Picker” Grigorii. As a result, without a family, without old friends, Katia spends her childhood in a disorderly house. Katia’s childhood dream is to become a police officer like her dad, but soon enough she understands it’s unrealizable. Instead, she turns into a cheeky, disruptive swindler, Klara, who can pick any lock and screw up any brain.
One day, luck finally turns away from Klara. Investigator Dmitrii catches her. The girl is facing prison. To avoid this, Klara offers the investigation a deal. She will help them catch the elusive serial killer Ghost, who mysteriously gets into the victims’ houses and also inexplicably disappears from it. Clara, who can “walk through walls”, finds an explanation for how the Ghost does it. But at the same time, the girl does not even assume what a bad game she is pulling herself into. After all, the Ghost seeing her smug interview challenges her himself.
The investigation into the case of the Ghost is led by Dmitrii, a charismatic brutal guy who really likes Klara, although the girl refuses to admit it even to herself. After all, not only do they constantly “claw” with each other, but Dmitrii is also hopelessly married, and Clara has a principle – do not engage with married men.
There is also Dmitrii’s assistant, a recent intern, strict principled Olesia, who has her own “vendetta” with the Ghost: he is guilty of the death of her fiancé. Although at first Klara and Olesia do not have a relationship at all, over time they become friends. At the same time, Klara does not even suspect that Olesia is the daughter of the very Zubov, on whose orders her family was killed. And Dmitrii, to whom from the very beginning the girl is so inexplicably drawn is her childhood friend Dima, with whom they once, childishly, naively dreamed of going to work to the police and starting their own family …
